Call Me Bald but FIERCE!

I am bald now!!!! Crazy right? Here is my reasoning as to why I chopped it off…

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lynn (me) who would joke about wanting to do the big chop. Friends would laugh at me and say I am “stupid” or sometimes “silly”. Others supported my joking. But one day I was hanging out with a girlfriend of mine and we were talking about new styles to do with our natural hair for the New Year.

When we shifted from weave to wearing our natural hair, our goal was to not use heat or anything on it.I was loving my natural fro but, my curl patterns were different from each other. Some parts of my hair would be really tight bouncy curls and the other side would be… loose sometimes straight. It got to a point where I was about to say whatever to the whole therapy process with my hair but the conversation I had with my friend really changed everything for me.

I did my big chop on December 30th, 2016. This was the greatest decision I think I have ever made. I really feel like I look like the person I’ve dreamed of as a little girl.I feel free and rejuvenated.

That was my quick story about my big chop but here is the moral of my story, do what makes YOU happy. Also, don’t be afraid to try new things. You will not know if you like something until you actually try it. Experiences is what makes life FUN! “Beauty is you, beauty is me”
